Pacific International Hotel Management School

At the Pacific International Hotel Management School (PIHMS) in New Plymouth, students benefit from world-class hospitality training. PIHMS aims to meet the demand for specialised hospitality management education and training by producing graduates with professional and personal skills at the highest level. The school provides a unique learning environment that gives students the right skills, knowledge and experience to take up a career in the hospitality industry anywhere in the world.

As well as academic study, students gain real experience from hands-on learning. Students run PIHMS as a fully functioning hotel; they learn to operate the various departments of a hotel and to manage the different business aspects of the hotel industry. Paid industry placements in hotels in New Zealand and overseas is an integral element of the training. This well balanced educational programme combines practical skills, theoretical knowledge, and personal development to New Zealand and international industry standards.
